Due to the recent announcement of a statewide lockdown for Victoria, Geelong Regional Library Corporation will be closing all branches and mobile library services from 6pm, Thursday 5 August, and will re-open on Friday 13 August (at usual branch opening time), pending any further announcements from the State Government.
While we are disappointed to close our doors again, we remain dedicated to doing our bit to protect the health and wellbeing of our community and our staff. We look forward to seeing our communities when we re-open. In the meantime, we will be offering a Click & Collect service, please see below for more information.
Click & Collect will be available from Friday 6 August. The service will be available Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, and you can place bookings via the online form or by calling your local library from 9am Friday 6 August. This service will be available at all branches with the following exceptions:

During this period, external return chutes will be open however due dates for borrowed items will be extended until libraries re-open and no fines will be issued during this period. During lockdown, we recommend you also visit our Your Library @ Home - a hub for entertaining, educational and informative video content, podcasts, downloadable resources and links for children, young people and adults. Our eCollection is available to all library members, and includes a wide range of eBooks, eAudiobooks, newspapers, magazines and film, video and content, plus a range of useful and interesting resources; find it here. Physical library events and programs remain suspended until further notice; however we are pleased to continue to offer diverse and high quality online events. We invite First Nations people to participate in an oral history project, recording and preserving stories within the Kim barne thaliyu Geelong Heritage Centre archive. Interviews start in December.
The Library of Things provides members with a range of tech, practical and recreational non-book items available to borrow from your local library – for free!
