What is a makerspace?

Technology makerspaces are designed to encourage you to think creatively, use your imagination and problem-solve. These spaces are for people of all ages to collaborate and create something new, using a range of technologies, tools and materials.  Each technology makerspace is different and can host a range of activities, only limited by the imagination.

If you are an aspiring innovator, inventor or just curious about new technology let our makerspaces provide you with state-of-the-art equipment that invites you to play, learn and create.

We run sessions facilitated by our specialist team which enable you to gather and make things, in our new makerspace at the Geelong Library & Heritage Centre and in other pop-up spaces appearing from time to time in our other libraries.
