Queenscliff Library update

Plans are progressing for the exciting new Queenscliffe Hub, which will house the Library, Museum and Visitor Information Centre. The new facility will be a wonderful resource and shared space for the Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale communities.

Please note that in order to move to a temporary location to allow for construction of the Hub to begin, Queenscliff Library will not provide services such as Click & Collect for a two week period – the last day of operation from the Library will be Tuesday 20 October.

During the construction, the Queenscliff Library will be housed at the currently vacant building ‘The Tavern’ (18 Hesse St, Queenscliff), along with the Visitor Information Centre and Queenscliffe Historical Museum. Library services will commence from this temporary location from Wednesday 4 November.

While there will be not be a library service or return chute in Queenscliff from 21 October – 3 November, we will still be offering a Click & Collect service at other library locations for all members, Click & Deliver for eligible members (including members aged 60 and over and vulnerable people) and returns chutes at our other library branches will remain open.

You can learn more about the Queenscliffe Hub project on the Borough of Queenscliff’s Queenscliffe Hub web page.

We are excited to take this step toward our new home and we appreciate your patience as we move and establish ourselves in this temporary location.
