National Simultaneous Storytime goes online

National Simultaneous Storytime may look a little different this year but we’re excited to share the details of how you can get involved.

National Simultaneous Storytime is where people all across Australia read the same book at the same time, and this year is its twentieth year!

This year’s book is Whitney and Britney Chicken Divas, written and illustrated by Lucinda Gifford, a story about two gorgeous chooks with stunning good looks, and this year we well be sharing it with you online, presented by four of our Board members:

  • Geelong Regional Libraries Board Chair Cr Ron Nelson from City of Greater Geelong
  • Cr Ross Ebbels, Mayor of Borough of Queenscliffe;
  • Cr Nathan Hansford from Golden Plains Shire Council and
  • Geelong Regional Libraries Board Deputy Chair, Cr Margot Smith from Surf Coast Shire Council.

You can register on Zoom for the event to get convenient reminders, or simply tune into our Facebook page at 11:00am on Wednesday 27 May to read along with the rest of Australia.
National Simultaneous Storytime is coordinated by the Australian Library and Information Association as part of Library and Information Week.
