Geelong Regional Libraries' biennial survey is now open and is seeking information about what services are important to you and what areas could be improved across our network of 16 libraries, two mobile libraries and our library website grlc.vic.gov.au.
The survey runs until Friday 14 September and we have 30 Visa gift cards valued at $50 each up for grabs, so make sure you go in the draw once you have completed a survey. We look forward to hearing from you.

The Nowhere Child is a riveting tale of trauma, cult conspiracy and memory. Author Christian White’s life changed overnight when he went from working odd jobs to winning the coveted Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for an Unpublished Manuscript, ultimately receiving publishing deals in 15 countries. Have you always wanted to learn how to use a sewing machine? Take a beginner’s class with qualified dressmaker and pattern maker Robyn Blackett. She will teach you to use the sewing machine and overlocker, which are available for public use, at the Corio Library. Attendees will produce a small item during their two–hour class. Whether you have always harboured a burning desire to be an actor or would just enjoy reading aloud a great Australian play - this is your chance to be a star! Join with other participants to bring a play to life on Australian Reading Hour national day. Scripts are provided, just choose your character to read aloud with fellow cast members. All of our libraries, mobile libraries and Kim barne thaliyu/Geelong Heritage Centre will be closed from Wednesday 25 December -Wednesday 1 January inclusive.
Donate fresh produce this summer to those experiencing food insecurity this December.
We invite First Nations people to participate in an oral history project, recording and preserving stories within the Kim barne thaliyu Geelong Heritage Centre archive. Interviews start in December.
The Library of Things provides members with a range of tech, practical and recreational non-book items available to borrow from your local library – for free!
Please note all our library locations including mobile libraries are closed and online services unavailable on Friday 29 November for our annual staff training day.
