The Archibald has landed!

The Archibald Prize has landed at the Geelong Gallery with the exhibition opening on Saturday 28 October and running until 10 December.

We're celebrating at the Geelong Library & Heritage Centre with a selection of Archie-inspired activities including:

  • Videos inspired by the life of JF Archibald.
  • Who’s Who Portrait Competition.
  • Bookface selfies.
  • 1850s Geelong - experience Geelong as it would have been in JF Archibald's time including displays and video on the Cruiser table.
  • Saturday conversations - artist talks presented by the Geelong Gallery at 11am on 28 October, 4 November, 25 November, 2 December.
  • Greenscreen portraits over opening weekend.
