The VIGEX International Photographic Print Salon will be on display at the Geelong Library & Heritage Centre from Saturday 27 July until Sunday 11 August, and will feature the awarded prints in this year’s VIGEX photography competition.
The VIGEX Committee has been conducting biennial international print photographic competitions and exhibitions (known as salons) in Geelong since 1980. The competition is open to both professional and amateur photographers from any country.
The 70 awarded images on display in this year’s Salon were selected from over 2,000 entries received from photographers representing 31 countries. Both colour and monochrome images were entered and were judged in six competition sections including Nature, Differences in Society and Travel.
VIGEX is a Geelong-based not-for-profit organisation run solely by unpaid volunteers. For more information about the organisation, please visit their website at www.vigex.org.au.
The VIGEX International Photographic Print Salon will be held on the ground floor of the Geelong Library & Heritage Centre from Saturday 27 July until Sunday 11 August 2019.
The exhibition will be open from 8am-8pm weekdays and 10am-5pm weekends.
