The Kim barne thaliyu / Geelong Heritage Centre Collection Advisory Committee meet four times a year to provide collection-related advice. The committee is comprised of Councillors, representatives from the City of Greater Geelong, Public Record Office Victoria, Geelong Historical Society, National Council of Women (Geelong branch) and up to three community representatives. Community representatives are appointed for two years and are expected to attend a minimum of 3 meetings per year. Duties include reviewing a brief report prior to meetings and participating in 1-hour meetings. Meetings are held at libraries around Geelong, in person but always with the abiluty to attend online. Meeting schedule for 2024: • Thursday 7 March (10-11am) • Thursday 6 June (10-11am) • Thursday 5 September (10-11am) • Thursday 5 December (10-11am) To submit an expression of interest or for further information please contact Dr. Lucy Davies (she/her) Manager, Heritage Services Expressions of interest (up to 1 page) should be sent to the above email and outline: 1. We particularly encourage expressions of interest from First Nations, LGBTQIA+ and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
