Geelong West Monster Book Fair returns

The ever-popular Geelong West Monster Book Fair returns to the Geelong West Town Hall this Friday 26th, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th July.

The Book Fair will see thousands of books, across many genres, available for purchase at the bargain price of $1 for paperbacks and $2 for hard covers.

The bi-annual event is organised by the Rotary Club of Geelong West, with all proceeds directed towards local and international causes and community projects.

“People who buy books from our Book Fairs not only get to buy great books at great prices,” says Freda Wright, President Rotary Club of Geelong West. “They can also feel really good about the fact that they are making a real difference in our community. The more books you buy, the bigger the difference you can make – it’s a win win!”

Proceeds from the Monster Book Fair will support a variety of community projects, both locally and further afield.  Over the years, the Fair has raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Club’s supported projects including Barwon Health Patient Transport, Samaritan House, Operation Newstart, Christ Church Meals Program, Geelong Kokoda Youth Program and Interplast, as well as many smaller charitable programs.

Books on sale at the Fair are donated by hundreds of people from across the region.

Geelong Regional Libraries is a proud supporter of the Fair, and has been a major contributor for many years.

The Geelong West Monster Book Fair opens at 9.00am on Friday 26 July.
