Melbourne Cup and Ballarat Show Day services

Please be advised that some of our libraries will closed or not operating on the following dates as library branches observe public holidays according to the municipality they are located in.

On days when libraries are closed, return chutes will remain open.

Tuesday 3 November - Melbourne Cup Day:

  • Torquay Library will be closed.
  • The Bellarine and Surf Coast Mobile Library will not stop at Aireys Inlet or Lorne.
  • All other Geelong Regional Libraries’ branches – except Queenscliff Library – will be open as usual.
  • The Geelong Regional Libraries’ administrative headquarters will be staffed.

Friday 13 November - Ballarat Show Day:

  • Golden Plains Mobile Library will not be operating.
