Borrowing guidelines

Library members may borrow up to 60 physical items from any library or mobile library. We ask that you present your library card each time you borrow.

Loan periods

Books, audiobooks 4 weeks
Magazines, Music CDs, DVDs 2 weeks
eBooks, eaudiobooks 3 weeks

Due dates are printed on your check out docket or you can login to your library account online for details. High-demand items may have their loan period shortened.

Renewals

You may renew your loan twice through the online catalogue, by phone or in person, so long as your item has not been requested by another library member.

Placing holds

You can place holds on 30 items at any one time. When you place a hold on an item, it prevents the current borrower from renewing the item. You can choose the library location that best suits you for collection of your held item(s).

Returns

When borrowing, you are given, or may choose to print, a date due slip listing the items you’ve borrowed and the dates they are due for return. Please return items by the due date. You can provide us with your email address so that we can assist by sending you a pre-overdue notification.

You may return items to any Library or Mobile Library within our network.

After hours return chutes are available at the following libraries:
