Proof of vaccination required for library visitors

Thursday 4 November 2021

Please be aware that in-line with Victorian Government requirements, any library visitors aged 16 years and above need to show valid proof of double COVID-19 vaccination to enter our library spaces. Valid proof of vaccination can be provided by a COVID-19 digital certificate linked to your Services Victoria app.

Other eligible proof of COVID-19 vaccination are:

  • COVID-19 digital certificate saved to a smartphone wallet
  • Printed copy of COVID-19 digital certificate
  • Printed copy of immunisation history statement
  • (Or official proof of medical exemption).

Staff may also ask you to show photo ID.

Please be advised that from 6pm on 12 November, you can no longer use a medical certificate as evidence of COVID-19 vaccination exemption. For more information, please visit the DHHS website

For those who are unable to show a vaccination certificate, our huge range of eCollections remain available to you, as does our Click & Collect service.

We know there’s a lot to navigate, and we’re here to help. Our staff can assist you to link your vaccination certificate to your Services Victoria app. Please visit or call your local branch, or book into one of our Vaccination Certificate Assistance programs

To find out about how COVID-19 is impacting our services at this time, please visit our dedicated Coronavirus webpage.

Still need to get your vaccination? COVID-19 vaccination is free and available locally. Book online at Barwon Health or by phoning 1800 675 398.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these changes. Please be respectful of our staff when they ask to see your vaccination certificate.
