Library access, anytime: Out of Hours at Biyal-a Armstrong Creek Library.

28 March 2025

Geelong Regional Libraries is making it easier than ever to access library services with the launch of Out of Hours at Biyal-a Armstrong Creek Library. This new initiative extends access beyond staffed hours, providing flexibility for those who can’t visit during traditional opening times.

In a regional first, library members who complete a short induction can upgrade to an Out of Hours membership. This allows them to borrow books, study, connect to Wi-Fi, access PCs, and use printing, scanning, and copying services—all at a time that suits them.

Why Out of Hours?
Many community members need access outside standard hours due to work, study, or other commitments. Out of Hours access provides greater flexibility, ensuring more people can use library services when they need them.

How it works
Members who complete an induction can enter the library using their library card and PIN. The Out of Hours schedule is:
Monday:   8am – 10am | 6pm – 10pm
Tuesday:   8am – 10am | 6pm – 10pm
Wednesday:   8am – 10am | 6pm – 10pm
Thursday:   8am – 10am | 8pm – 10pm
Friday:    8am – 10am | 6pm – 10pm
Saturday:   1pm – 3pm
Sunday:   12noon – 2pm
